JUNO SAN

My name is Juno and I am a trilingual artist. I was born in Argentina, lived in Puerto Rico for 11 years, and finally moved to Los Angeles to keep building my career. I am a comedian, musician, writer, director, and voice actress. I have directed different Improv projects such as Improvanda (Improvised music) and Sin Flags (Improvised comedy). I love exploring music through different instruments I collect from different countries and even though I have never received a formal education, music has always been inside me, flowing through these sounds I create. I formed the first original Japanese music band in Puerto Rico (Chotto Matte Band) and we played for 10 years all around the island. I am currently working on my Japanese inspired music single called Natsu no Yuki. As well as being an artist, I graduated as an ESL Teacher and I currently own an online enrichment school for kids that was created to help families during the pandemic. I have a special love for Japan, its culture, and its language. I have been studying Japanese for 10 years and I am always trying to share this love with other people around the world. One of the many dreams I have is to live in Japan and make music that makes people smile and dance!

About the 311 Tribute Project

10 years ago, spring of 2011 right after the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami hit northern Japan, this mural was made. The mural had a base painting by a famous Japanese-American street artist Mike Ming and we bought markers and crayons for everyone to write their well wishes to send to Japan. We are now sending it virtually to all those who need to receive these prayers.
It’s my hope that all those who were affected by the 3/11 tragedy receive these well wishes from people half way around the world. We are holding you in our thoughts and you are remembered.
