Our Story

The founders of Color Wheel Studios have always defied labels. Becky grew up as an urban Chinese-American girl, a varsity cheerleader, a punk rocker with pink and purple hair, an honor student, a black belt in kendo, and a spiritual hippy. Caroline grew up in Switzerland, is non-binary, queer, mixed-race, multilingual, and in love with American culture and Hollywood cinema. The minute these two met on set, they recognized themselves as kindred spirits—women not afraid to share their unique colors with the world. 

Conscious of their gaze as women behind the camera, they prioritize listening to the needs of their clients and getting into the heads of broad audiences. Their diverse backgrounds and identities allow them to create content that is new, thoughtful, and relatable to people of all walks of life.

Caroline and Becky have collaborated with a wide range of clients and have lived and worked in a stunning array of countries. They view their ability to see the world from multi-faceted perspectives as a crucial tool to help their clients breathe their visions into life.

They worked with multi-million dollar gems for Cartier, captured Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Tim Cook for the Kennedy Gala, helped construction materials company USG position dropped ceiling tiles as a luxury item. Whatever the project, Color Wheel Studios is always up for the challenge. We find new visual narratives that lead our clients to increased sales, loyalty, and referrals in productive and innovative ways through live events, webinars, video and photo production.
